Parenting Young Children Small Group

Parenting Young Children Small Group– 4:30pm

1st Sunday of each month will be at the Lahr home in Morrison, CO

3rd Sunday of each month will be at the Elkinton home in Littleton, CO

We are families living life together under the guidance of Jesus Christ.  If you have young children, we ask that you consider joining us.  We will meet on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month at 4:30pm.  Books provided by the group for studies.  Currently, we are in the study “The Art of Parenting” from Family Life.  This 8-session study will consist of video, some light reading, and a study guide for discussion.

Curriculum Review: “It’s not enough to teach children about God. You have to work in preparing their path to success and help them each step of the way.”

Food and fellowship will be available for adults and children beginning at 4:30pm.  At 5pm children will go to a separate room where childcare is provided and adult study time will open in prayer.  The study and discussion will be followed with closing prayer ending by 7pm.

How will history view us?  Legacies lost… Years wasted… Destinies destroyed? As Abraham, Isaac and Jacob worked through generations, it is time we do the same. We hold the baton of faith that our children so desperately need. In a wakeup call to parents, Doug and Lisa Cherry ignite the revolution of generations. Disqualification is no longer an option. The hand-off must be made.  See Ephesians 5:21-6:4

Burdick’s Small Group

Steve and Shelley Burdick’s Small Group – 6:45pm

(All are welcome)

We meet in our home @ 6:45 pm Mondays.  The Bible study topic is determined by the group, and is currently in the book “Letters to the Church” by Francis Chan.  Our group is open to all.

About the Book:

There is a growing and unacceptable discrepancy between God’s vision for the church and ours. Consumerism has to leave. The Church requires more.

God’s Church started as a radical, spiritually intimate gathering of believers that ultimately changed history. Yet millions today are content to be mere observers at church. Many more have left, brokenhearted and cynical. But God is waking up His people—people who will risk anything and sacrifice everything to be the dynamic, world-changing Church of Scripture.

Speaking out of deep love for the Church, Chan guides Christ followers to live out God’s magnificent and beautiful vision for His Church-a vision we may have lost but God has never forgotten.

When He returns, I want Him to find me giving everything I’ve got to bring health to the church—and that’s what this book is about. My hope is that you also will see the need to repent from this casual attitude and treat the church as sacred again. –Francis Chan

Young Adult Small Group

Nic and Katie’s Small Group – 6:45 thru 8pm

(Young Adults)

We will be meeting the 2nd and the 4th Wednesday of the month for normal small group. Some 3rd Wednesday’s of the month we do community nights: games/ worship/ crafts.

Join us as we strive to build community with one another. This small group is aimed towards post high school life livers, college students, and young professionals who are interested in pursuing an intentional walk with Christ. We are married, single, and somewhere in between. New believers, older believers, and some folks just feeling things out. Our goal is to create community with one another, and to engage with the believers and nonbelievers alike with true meaning.

Our Five guiding questions include:

1) What does it mean to live intentionally?

2) How can we become God’s hands and feet?

3) How do we thrive in a community of believers?

4) How can we engage with the Bible?

5) What does it look to be in relationship with Christ?
