Tyler Menssen: Senior Pastor (starting January 2020)
Tyler is excited to have begin his call as Grace Covenant's new Senior Pastor in January 2019. He's passionate about proclaiming the Good News of Jesus to all generations and people, and encouraging all of us to live out the call of discipleship in our lives. Tyler is engaged to Emily (wedding date May 23rd!) and both are excited to be a part of the community here at Grace. Besides spending time with Emily, Tyler enjoys coffee shops, golfing, and taking care of his Australian Shepherd, Milo. Tyler graduated with his MDiv from North Park Theological Seminary and is ordained to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church. Prior to coming to Grace, Tyler served as Director of Solid Rock School of Discipleship, a Evangelical Covenant Church discipleship school for young adults.
I joined the staff at Grace Covenant in 2006 as the part-time bookkeeper/accountant. My background is in accounting and I have held positions in auto dealerships, schools, and non-profit organizations. The position of Business Manager opened here at Grace providing me with more hours and greater challenges. I am back in the environment that I enjoy. I spend my time at home gardening, writing and reading. I am married to my husband of 41 years, Rob. I have 3 grown children all married to wonderful spouses, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grand children.
At the early age of 5 years old my mom enrolled me in dance classes and I developed a love for ballet, tap, and jazz. I also had a friend who was persistent in bringing me to church, but I never understood the need for Jesus until I had children. At that time, I knew there was something missing and began my search for answers. Today Jesus is my Savior, my life, and my salvation. In addition to my administrative duties at Grace, I teach dance to people of all ages at my studio “Step In Style.” I was called to Grace Covenant four years ago. Anthony, Savannah, and Sierra are my wonderful children. I consider Grace Covenant as my second family and don‚t know what I‚d do without their love and support.
Nathan B: Associate Pastor of Mission and Outreach
The living Jesus changed everything for me. I hope that more people can meet him. Thats my ultimate goal; more people in more places who know the living Jesus and walk in obedience to him. I am a sent missionary of Grace. While at Grace I help to facilitate missions and ministry opportunities. Additionally my wife and I run the youth group on Friday nights. We love seeing the living Jesus change people!
Have you ever seen the hand of God move so dramatically that it truly leaves you amazed? It was a God thing four years ago when Michael and I and our four children were called to Grace Covenant. This happened as a direct result from the prayers of the faithful people of Grace, to minister through a Kids Club called AWANA. I grew up in the AWANA program and have been playing with and ministering to kids and teens for over 20 years now. I don‚t think that there is a greater pleasure in this life than to see people, tall ones and small ones give their lives to Jesus and then use their gifts & talents in Ministry & Service. It is an honor to serve you and your family as your children’s director and I would Love, Love, Love to meet you. So come on by.
